Beginner's Guide

Beginner's Guide

Start here if this is your first time playing GoesOT. This guide covers the official client, account setup, character creation, vocations and the first habits that prevent avoidable losses.

Step 1: Download the Client

Install the current GoesOT client before creating your first character. The official download page always has the launcher and any required client files.

  • Use the official download from this website.
  • Keep the launcher updated before logging in.
  • If Windows blocks the launcher, allow it only after confirming it came from the GoesOT website.

Step 2: Create an Account

Create your account with a valid e-mail and a password you do not use anywhere else. After logging in, keep your recovery information safe.

  • Use a real e-mail address so you can recover the account later.
  • Register your account if the account panel asks for additional protection.
  • Never share your account, password or recovery key with other players.

Step 3: Create Your Character

Create your first character from the account panel and choose the vocation that matches the way you want to play.

  • Pick a name that follows the server rules.
  • Choose a vocation carefully; it defines your early equipment and combat style.
  • Select the starting town offered by the account form or by the in-game starter flow.

Step 4: Enter the World

Once inside the game, learn the map, keep your starter tools, and read the server information before rushing into risky areas.

  • Carry rope, shovel, potions and enough capacity for loot.
  • Check boosted creatures and bosses before planning hunts.
  • Use support tickets when you need help that requires staff review.
